Amazing Redemtion

OVER ALL RATING 8.5

Spider-man executing a stealth takedown.
spidey fighting the spiders layer boss.
I was not completely impressed with the 3DS platform of this game. But the Wii U platform for this game was truly amazing. One of the great things about this game is that it comes in a DLC bundle pack (Wii U platform only) this includes the rhino challenge, oscorp search and destroy challenge, the lizard rampage challenge, the classic spiderman suit, the vigilante suit, and finally, the Stan Lee adventure pack. The story for this game was the same as the 3DS platform but little things are different. One big difference is the fact the the free roaming aspect is in this game (FINALLY!!!!!!!) the map is huge and swinging through the city is incredibly exhilarating. This is because of the camera angle which is placed perfectly. Also, there are certain missions that you must take pictures of certain things such as scratch marks on a door or spiderman fans. unlocking alternate suits is a bit more difficult then on other platforms. Instead of finding and taking pictures of spiderman graffiti, you must finish curtain objectives (all objectives to unlock suits will be listed below.). Normal missions are pretty much the same as the 3DS platform of the game except there is much more attention to detail making missions much more fun to play. The hunter battles were especially fun to play, because instead of being on top random buildings like the 3DS platform, you actually fight the first hunter in time square. Collecting comic book pages is also a very cool aspect of this game. Once you reach a certain amount of pages you unlock a new comic book which you can read via the extras menu. Whats cool about this is that the comic books you unlock are real original spiderman comics. There are 700 comic book pages total to collect. Though the graphics are extremely good they are summed down a bit from the Xbox and PS3 platforms of this game. This does not make the game any less fun to play though. This game also offers an extremely entertaining story line taking place a few months after the events of "The Amazing Spiderman" movie. Though the movie was not the strongest superhero movie I had ever seen, this game will provide hours upon hours of entertainment for gamers. However. Lack of night and day cycles sort of ruin some of the realism (come on, who doesn't want day time to last five minutes?) this is ok by though me though because when you leave you apartment you can choose what time of day it is. Another thing is when web rushing you can tap the R button for a quick web rush. The problem with this is that when you are doing the xtreme reporter challenges for instance, web rushing is crucial when trying to beat these missions. But sometimes when you press the button it will pull you someplace that is totally not were you had to go. These few flaws do not take anything away from the game. This game is a phenomenal work of art that combines the thrills of swinging through manhattan with stealth takedowns and beautifully choreographed combat. All these things make this game a must have.
As you can see, manhattan in this game is huge

Alternate suits:

Black suit (classic): progress half way through the game.
Future foundation: complete all crimes and green side missions.
Negative zone: complete all xtreme challenges.
Scarlet spider: collect all 700 comics.
Cross species spiderman: complete the game.
Standard suit (without belt) complete the game.

"Building" a relationship with Mario

A new Nintendo fan by the name on James created some awesome Lego Mario power ups. We think they were good enough to make a post completely dedicated to them. we also sat down with him and asked him a few questions about these awesome lego creations:

How long have you been a mario fan: About a year.

How long did it take you too create these: Half a day.

Did you have any instructions for these: Just pictures

How many did you make: 28.

How tall exactly is the lego toad: 15 inches.

What do you think the main reason you made these is: Some of the pixelated pictures looked like legos.

Do you plan on making any more: Big time.

Check out the awesome creations this mario fan has made:

Another fan made power up
Called the "Mii flower".

Disney/Pixar's "Wreck It Ralph" crosses movies with video games

"Wreck It Ralph" logo.
The new Disney/Pixar movie Wreck It Ralph is about a fictional arcade game called Fix It Felix. When the antagonist of the game "Wreck It Ralph" (Ralph as everyone in the gaming world calls him) gets tired of being the bad guy of his game. He decides to go what the characters in the movie refer to as "game jumping". There are many gaming characters in the movie such as: Bowser, M. Bison, the orange pac-man ghost (who's name I can never remember), Dr. Eggman, and even Qbert (you know, the orange guy from Qbert? anyone? (i'm a huge nerd incase you haven't noticed)). And even more characters then that.
Ralph has already been incorporated into "Sega All
Star Racing: Transformed".
Sorry but thats all the information I have on this movie. But there is more to come once the movie comes out.
To be continued.

Ralph in his pixelated form.
An observant gamer will notice a few gaming
villain's in this scene.
