Mario Tennis Open is one of the most fun Mario Games yet.  Unfortunately, I do not yet own the game.  However, my brother got a 3DS this past Monday and I bought the game for him.  It is amazing! The graphics were outstanding and game play is great.  There are many different tennis games such as exhibition and tournament as well as many other game types.  One of my favorite games is Super Mario Tennis.  In this game you play the entire first level of the original Super Mario Bros..  You can hit goombas and koopas, go down warp pipes, and collect coins by hitting the tennis ball at the giant screen.  This game is also playable in multi-player.  Speaking of which, playing local multi-player is fun, however online multi-player is sort of a let down.  Most of the time you get paired up with someone ten times better then you, not to mention the fact that it is nearly impossible to get your rating higher then 2000 which is the average amount of points. Players must use gyro controls to aim the ball.  However, you can only use this feature if you are in 3rd person mode.  3D mode is also only available in Ariel view.

In conclusion Mario Tennis Open is a great game.  It could however use some improvement here and there but it is still a must have game.

Metal Sonic is pretty
 cute for a death robot.

I'm pretty sure Sonic doesn't see this everyday.

I am a huge sonic fan.  But when I heard Sonic the hedgehog was basically a knock off of Super Mario Bros. it changed the way I looked at Sonic. Still, for some reason, I bought Sonic generations, and I'm so glad I did.  I was somewhat disappointed that there was no 3rd person gameplay but that didn't take away from the experience. The gameplay is very fun and hard to put  down, you get to play as classic Sonic or modern Sonic. Each Sonic has a different feel to it, classic Sonic is more about platforming where as modern Sonic is more about speed.  Classic Sonic can spin dash, and modern Sonic can use speed boosts and homing attacks.  Classic Sonic can also learn the homing attack later in the game. The classic levels in this game are beautifully remastered, especially green hill zone, this is the first zone in the game. The 3D effects are spectacular for both modern and classic Sonic. There are also a variety of old Sonic bosses that make appearances  in this game, such as the Biolizard from sonic adventure 2, or Egg Emperor from Sonic heroes. There are also rival races agains rival characters: Metal Sonic, Silver the Hedgehog, and Shadow the hedgehog.

In the end sonic generations is a great game if you are a Sonic fan go and get it I am very exited for the next twenty years of Sonic the hedgehog.

Mario Kart 7 swerves its way to the Nintendo 3DS

Super Mario 3D Land wasn't the
only game that brought back the
tanooki tail.

Mario Kart is one of my favorite video games. So when I heard that there was going to be a Mario Kart 7 coming to the 3DS, I was really exited. The purpose of the game is this: win the race. There are many playable characters such as the queen bee from Super Mario Galaxy and Metal Mario. This game being the 7th Mario Kart game in the series (hence the name) still has many courses from the older Mario Kart games, such as Rainbow Road from super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo, and new courses such as wuhu loop. You can also win gold stars as achievements. If you achieve a minimum of one star for each cup in each prix, you get one star next to your name. If you get 2 stars on every cup, you get 2 stars next to your name, and so forth. The game also takes advantage of gyro control. Players must switch to first person mode though to use gyro. If you use gyro 80% of the time you will get a gold wheel next to your name (it takes a long time, believe me, it took me 3 months to earn mine!). The internet races and battles are one of the highlights of the game. You can play online with people all over the world or you can play ghost races to try to beat other peoples time.

In conclusion, Mario Kart 7 is a wonderful game.  If you don't have it I highly recommend you get it.

Spiderman swings to Nintendo 3DS

Being a huge Spiderman fan, playing Spiderman Edge of Time was an absolute blast.  You start the game as Spiderman in the present day and you are fighting the main villain of the game, Anti Venom. Don't worry about dying, there is no health gauge  for the battle. After you finish the battle with Anti Venom, you play a level as Spiderman 2099.  Spiderman Edge of Time is a great game over all, but the game could definitely use some improvement.  For example, during gameplay there are many times that the game freezes or gets glitchy. Plus it takes a very long time to kill most of the enemies and the larger enemies are a complete hassle to deal with. There are also a series of unlockable items and alternate suits that you can use during gameplay. One benefit to the game is that during load times there are random Spiderman facts, such as what year the Daily Bugle was founded. Most of the gameplay takes place in the future in the Alcamax building where the Daily Bugle once operated.

In the end, this game is an o.k. game and very fun to play.  It could use some improvement here and there, but over all is very fun. I can't wait for the amazing Spiderman for 3DS.
